Four-spotted Chaser |

Distribution: Widespread throughout Wiltshire were suitable habitat exists. Often found perching on emergent vegetation around ponds, pools and canals. Can be found in large feeding swarms in the evening either over water or in the surrounding countryside. Identification: The four spotted chaser can be identified by the dark spot in the middle (node) of each of its four wings (hence the common name). The males and females are similar. County Status: Widespread. |
