Distribution: Only found in the extreme south east of the county on the border with Hampshire. It is restricted to acidic bogs and heathland pools. Identification: The Small Red Damselfly is one of two red damselflies found in Wiltshire. The other (large red damselfly) is however, much more common. The small red damselfly can be distinguished by it's red legs (the large red has black legs) and it's red pterostigma (the large red has a black one). County Status:
