White-Legged Damselfly

Distribution: Found almost exclusively on the river Avon and it's tributaries. Can be found in large numbers were it occurs.

Identification: The female is the only white damselfly found in the UK and the male is a lighter 'sky blue' than any other male damselfly. Both sexes have broad white flattened tibia which give the species its common name.

County Status: Found in large numbers on the river Avon and it's tributaries.
